THE THIRD WHEEL

THE THIRD WHEEL  Two's company, Three's a crowd, Tagging along, lone and a frown, What once, was someone else, Is now replaced, Only by replicating you, No original taste, No tell, to tell about self, Just mimicry; so desperate, Until one fine day, poof! The third, the last, at last, Becomes the extra. Originality can't get you, When what you want, Someone else has. Gone, decayed, replaced, All attempts in vain, Sadness regained, and massive energy drain. Oh, innocent one! There, You sail away. Far away, until too out of reach, While the ship has left the beach.

IT NEVER COMES AGAIN

IT NEVER COMES AGAIN The hardworking you put, The sorrow you feel, The second's warmth, The moment's zeal. The love you want, The happiness you crave, The trials of error, The face to save. Yesterday's rain, Yesterday's sunset, Yesterday's blossoms, Won't be as well kept, Yesterday's frowns, Yesterday's time, Yesterday's despair, Yesterday's crime. Tomorrow's hope, Tomorrow's dreams, Tomorrow's joy, Tomorrow's tears bream. What's once done, never comes again, Advances for unknown, go in vain, What will happen, is inevitable, Once lost, never can you regain.

FALSE PRETENCES

FALSE PRETENCES Don't fat for my, False pretences, What might seem, Is not always so. The bark seems assembled, But the inside, is a whole mess. No one to just, When everything is low. A chameleon, if blamed, For having no true self. But behind its camouflage, Its too scared, to unveil itself. So, as hidden away, Behind dark covers, From the broken pieces, It could never recover. They pushed you down, They dropped you low, But your will, Made you show. Now the same, Shatters you, And what's prominent, Is what you can't do.

A LEAP OF FAITH

A LEAP OF FAITH Are you too weak to trust, Or too fearful to believe? Is it hard to hear the bitter truth, The one, you want to leave. I want to put my guards up against you, I want to be selfish for once; On the path to pleasing people, You sacrificed joy, tons and tons. Let your sorrow, rise up and away; Face your problems with confidence. Return to your rightful throne, Know its importance, Put in all your stakes, Believe me, A leap of faith, Is all it takes.

FIERY

FIERY When your blood boils, And eyes go red, Yet, your hand stationary, Your movements, dead. When the moment matters, And there's nothing you do, Useless, when the situation needs, To protect everyone, but you.

DOWNTRODDEN

DOWNTRODDEN People looked down upon, Whenever, will they find dawn? After what seems like an eon, Why was this fate ever drawn? So unfortunate. Is it too late, To yet again, be great; The best till date? The light at the end of the tunnel, The hardships, Though seem subtle.

HEADLIGHTS AT A DEER

HEADLIGHTS AT A DEER Are you at a fork? With the ground beneath, Crumbling? Unsure what to do, Anxiety, as you breath. Startling, Cursing at life, Wishing it hadn't been harder. Crying, You can be the deer, And life flashes in front of your eyes, Or, you can be the driver.
